The Grace Hopper Conference, We Build a Better World, will be held at the Keystone Resort, Colorado from October 1st-4th this year. Information on participation for UW CSE women was sent out via email. Don’t forget to let us know by July 1 if you’d like to attend!

Additional details will be sent out to all students who sign-up. Please keep in mind that the early bird registration deadline for the conference is August 17th. We’re looking at reserving a block of hotel rooms for all UW CSE students who plan to go.

Welcome!

By Megan at 11:42 am on June 26, 2008 | No comments

Welcome to the blog for women in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington! The WICSE site is hosted by the UW CSE department and was created as a resource for current and prospective students in this field. Beyond the content on the site, our hope is that the blog will be a place to provide updated information and spark discussion on topics related to women in computing.

If you are here with a specific interest in student events/activities at UW CSE, or would like to get connected with majors, please contact our student chapter of the ACM-W.

For those of you considering a degree in computer science & engineering at the University of Washington, we encourage you to visit our prospective student pages:

Don’t hesitate to contact an advisor with questions. Or, you can also visit our undergraduate advising staff on Facebook.

We look forward to seeing how this blog takes shape. We hope you will participate with contributions and comments to the page!
